L.N. Consulting completed the design and construction administration for the NRG Expansion facility.
This facility is a 28,000 sq.ft. office/manufacturing building. This project uses geothermal well water cooling for radiant slabs and ventilation air.
The system design includes high efficiency energy recovery ventilation with demand control distribution, occupancy lighting controls, day lighting controls, natural day light balancing of almost all spaces, domestic water solar heating, pellet wood boilers, 70 kW of PV power production, and natural nighttime outdoor air building cooling/ventilation.
The project has achieved LEED Gold certification and was awarded the Better Building by Design Award in 2009.
L.N. Consulting is in the construction administration process for the Living Future Project located in Huntington Vermont.
The project was designed to incorporate solar collector heating, 9kW hydroelectric power generation, 15 kW of PV panel power generation, combination cord wood/bio-diesel boilers, and 6 kW of wind turbine power generation for a group of buildings.
